Weddings in Woodinville

MG Davis Events was honored to be a part of Weddings in Woodinville on January 31st, a progressive tour of six fabulous wedding venues in Woodinville. Couples were chauffeured around for the afternoon in luxury coaches by Butler Transportation and high style limousines by Rare Form.  Each location was hosted by an event planner and dressed to the nines by our favorite vendor partners. My venue was JM Cellars. If you have not had the opportunity to visit the winery and experienced the extraordinary hospitality of John and Peggy Bigelow, put it at the top of your list of places to visit this spring! As guests arrived they warmed their hands by a cozy bonfire and watched the chef from Tom Douglas Catering grill gigantic rib eye steaks that would later be sliced and become the icing on the cake of a sublime grilled bread salad with tomato. Guests were also treated to Tom’s world famous Triple Coconut Pie Bites!

The Tasting Room was set with a table ready to accommodate royalty.
Scarlet Blooms designed the most amazing centerpieces using antique gold, yellow and brown spring flowers. We decided to mix our metals and use silver and gold finishes together. We carried this look throughout the entire table using silver chargers with gold rimmed plates from AA Party and a stunning gold table cloth from Choice Linens.

We used a clear-top canopy so we wouldn’t block the gorgeous view of the landscaping that John and Peggy so carefully tend to season after season. We illuminated the canopy with natural colored Japanese lanterns to blend with Scarlet Bloom’s woodland centerpieces of succulents, orchids and moss.

The Tank and Barrel Room was staged for a small ceremony looking out over the valley.
We wove each chair with warm and shimmery organza and flanked the huge copper doors with urns filled with forsythia branches illuminated with hundreds of candles!

In addition to the ceremony set-up some of out favorite vendors were presenting their fabulous work inside.

April Greer Photography documented the event for us and shared her boudoir photography with anyone who was interested – and plenty of people were!  Seattle Sundries gave out samples of their new line of custom wedding favor soaps. Sweets Treats and Designs displayed a beautiful candy buffet which they will customize to suit any color scheme or taste. Guests were also able sample their delicious homemade chocolate dipped fortune cookies – complete with a customized message.
